Brenta Imperial firmly believes in the culture being an engine of progress and society improvement. Right from this point of view Brenta Imperial actively supports important cultural projects, the activity evidencing a concrete engagement in the territory development as well as a fine sensibility to all what is art and beauty.
Among the recent projects selected by Brenta Imperial to support there is “Diary of a Move (DOAM)”, a project by Masako Matsushita, an Italian-Japanese dancer and choreographer who lives and works in Italy.
The documentary “Diary of a Move”, directed by Matteo Maffesanti and written by Beatrice Bresolin, has been released for “Italiana” on the initiative of the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Produced for the OperaEstate Festival of Bassano del Grappa with the support of Brenta Imperial, DOAM tried to give shape to diaries of more than sixty participants during the lockdown in 2020.
The documentary shows digital and analogue recordings of daily movements and gestures, creating a sort of archive that has become the cultural heritage of Bassano del Grappa, which Masako Matsushita has translated into a dance performance on the border between memories, fleeting moments, between public space and private space.
Like DOAM, any project consists in sharing experiences and visions to give life to artistic items, architectural and design objects.
